Would you like to find a place where you can make a difference?

Please consider joining our volunteer team. We have a wide variety of needs and would love your time, experience or wisdom. 

Volunteer

Task or project? Assignment or lead? On your own or on a committee? Behind a laptop or face-to-face? These questions matter. We want to find a role that not only can you do, but you brings you satisfaction and pride. You know yourself best and we know what we have open. Let's talk. 

Not much time?  We tend to attract very busy women so we are accustomed to the varying schedules we juggle. Most volunteer roles are under a couple hours a month and can be accomplished at any time. 

Don't see a good match ? Send us a little email about yourself describing your interests, passions or skills and we will find a place for you. 

The Savvy Women's Alliance is created by over 70 volunteers creating a combined dynamic wisdom. We even have a VIP Volunteer Lounge (online discussion room) in our Savvy Cafe and we host an annual volunteers appreciation event.  Many volunteers quickly grow out of their role - not because they are bored- but because they grow and are eager for more.  

What next? Send us an email and we will set up a time to talk on the phone and get to know each other. Then, we will bring you on board as one of our volunteers! 

 

[fa icon="plus-square"] Online Welcome Team / Savvy Cafe Hostess

Adding to our volunteer team of Savvy Cafe hostesses, who stimulate and encourage discussions.

A hostess leaves encouraging comments, adds to conversations and reports unruly behavior across the Savvy Cafe.  Basically, be yourself and check in once a week or more. 

Does not have to be an expert in nontoxic living, but interested in learning while being social and encouraging with a welcoming heart.

  • Number of Positions: 4 
  • Location: Remote 
  • Time: 1-2 hours a month (or more!) 
  • Skills: Friendly. Basic writing skills.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Infographic Creator - Will Train

We are looking to partner with someone to create fun Savvy-branded infographics once a month using Piktochart software or similar.

Each project will present a collection of monthly tips gathered at the Savvy Cafe and will vary slightly in how it is presented, but will be similar in branding.

An example of one is here - although we are open to your guidance and suggestions.


  • Number of Positions: 1-2
  • Location: Remote
  • Time: 2 hours a month 
  • Skills: Intermediate to advance experience with Piktochart or other infographics software. Ability to create a small project once a month.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Grant Writer Assistant

Unique opportunity to work with Stonehill College's Center for Nonprofit Management to assist in establishing Savvy's grant development. Much of the content of our grants applications is solidified and will be adapted to 4-6 proposals in the next year.  Assistance is needed to help follow through on the content, edit and help with final reports. 

This position will be working closely with our Executive Director.

  • Location: South Shore, MA 
  • Time: 4 hours a month 
  • Skills: Knowledge or experience in grant development and proposal writing. Strong technical writing.

Love to Tweet? Would you like to guide Savvy on how we can better our Twitter presence? We have lots of lovely content and images but need a hand with ongoing engagement. Join our social media team and help be the voice of Savvy.

  • Time: Couple hours for project set up then 10 minutes several times a week.  
  • Skills: Love for Twitter and social media. Don't have to be an expert in the movement, just someone who loves to be connected and to connect.

Love to... 'gram?!? That is an example of how good we are at Instagram so far: mediocre!

We would love to start a Meet the Author Discussion Forum where we invite a movement author to the Savvy Cafe to do an online interview. We have the tools and contacts but need a little help to make it come true. Would you like to work closely with our founder to launch this program? We will have a few conference calls to hammer out the details and then aim to coordinate our first one in spring!

  • Location: Remote 
  • Time: 5 hours to setup, then 3 or so hours a month going forward. 6-month minimum role.
  • Skills: You will be a representative of Savvy and so we are looking for someone who is organized, self-driven, can follow through with commitments and can communicate professionally and with enthusiasm. We have the contacts we just need your enthusiasm! Do not have to be an expert in nontoxic living.
